We hope to keep the festival as free as possible through grants, fundraising and sponsorship. Over time, we hope the success of the festival allows us to create more stages for music around the neighbourhood and truly scale it into a family-friendly and always inclusive neighbourhood-wide festival. We look to bring our large and diverse community together through the power of jazz.
Why it's a great idea ~
1. Brings the community together and brings music to their doorsteps (in some cases, hopefully literally)
2. Enhancement of De Beauvoir Town's cultural profile
3. Economic stimulus for local businesses in Hackney and Islington
4. Bringing new people to the neighbourhood to celebrate it and share what it means to live and work here
5. Bring new audiences to jazz
6. Create opportunities for volunteer involvement and over time, employment!
7. Promote arts education and cultural diversity
We are committed to making this event inclusive, safe, and beneficial to the entire community. We have garnered interest from local businesses and they are all incredibly supportive.
